The Magic Bass
This is the place of the magical bass- or the magical bad-ass shit shrine.. Please share all things you love, and I will share mine. Whether it it be thrift store treasures, home-made crafts, or your own artwork.
Things That Rock My Socks
My Mission:
I want to create a place where people can come to find magical things. My main focus will be sharing thrift store finds, and how to get treasures for cheap. I want to one day have my own vintage store, and maybe even learn how to make my own clothes. But this is just the start to my adventures. So join me in discovering the things that inspire us...

On the Rise
All I have to say is that I love shirts tucked into high waisted skirts! I love mixing these up-tight skirt styles with relaxed tees and blouses. It gives the over all look a casual classy feeling. Check out this darling girl who isn't afraid to mix patterns!

Ember and Lucy
So... exciting news! Amber and I have started to put together a collection of recycled and refashioned clothing called "Ember and Lucy" I have added pictures of our fashions under the new tab labeled so predictably: Ember and Lucy clothing. Please check it out and let us know your thoughts. We also want to thank The lovely lady from citizen rosebud at (cititizenrosebud.com/) and the equally lovely from Crimson and clover at (crimsonandcloverboutique.blogspot.com/) took their time to talk with us at the "Bespoked/Bequiet Bazaar" last saturday. They were so sweet and inspiring. Hopefully you will see us at their next event! Please check out both of their websites, because they are awesome! Get Lucky
So, in my new endeavors as a fashion blogger wanna-be, I thought I should start research on the best fashion magazines. I sat my butt down and looked through every magazine in Barns and Noble, and came out with the best. Drum roll........ Lucky Magazine! They have by far the most practical outfits, prices, and real life advice. I would wear almost every outfit they had on their pages. It was like they were in my head! Check out some of these pictures and tell me what you think.

Zombies!
Fashion Zomies that is. Go Beth for dreaming up this awesome shoot. It was so much fun! Visit her flikker at http://www.flickr.com/photos/bethraper/4663923337/
She's the next big thing, so watch out! Or we might eat you...
My Magical Girls
Evanna Lych: also known as Luna Lovegood
Bonnie Wright: also known as Ginny Weasley
I love these pictures!!!!!!!!!! Move over Emma (even though we love you) here come some equally awesome Hogwarts girls. Evanna is like a doll in her clashing patterns, and Bonnie is sweet in her pale dress and big...fat...bow.

Swifting Me Off My Feet
So, I think Taylor Swift is pretty cool. I saw this picture and absolutely loved it! The pattern mix is great, along with the super cool subtle shoes. That was the moment I decided that I have to have these great men's inspired kicks. Still looking though. Check it out, you know you like her.
PS. While you are at it, take a look at the new pages: Thrift store finds, people that rock my socks, and rockin the streets. Let me know if you have any additions!

The coolest person I know...
So, I tried and I tried not to post this. Put I couldn't gather enough self control. As I look through countless pictures of people in magazines, fashion websites, and blogs, there is no one who I think is cooler than... Kristen Stewart. I know it is predictable, but someone who most likely rolls out of bed and walks out the door most mornings and still looks awesome deserves some props. She has her off days, but who doesn't. She still rocks my socks... and makes me want to buy a leather jacket.

Things to do for Free
Since we are talking about wonderful things that are cheap, I want to mention the most wonderful cheap thing at all. Not spending any money and still having fun. The only catch is it seems to be one of the most rare treasures there is. I don't know about anyone else, but I get the impulse to just spend all the time. But there are so many things I want to do, so many goals I have that don't involve money at all. I recently stumbled across a blog titled "The Simple Dollar" And it lists 100 things to do for free. Everyone's interests are different, so I created my own. On the top five are:
1. learn to sew
2. do art
3. go on a hike
4. Download a podcast and learn a new language (who knew this was free!!!)
5. Visit the library
Think about the things you love and challenge yourself to a "money free weekend!"
