My Mission:

I want to create a place where people can come to find magical things. My main focus will be sharing thrift store finds, and how to get treasures for cheap. I want to one day have my own vintage store, and maybe even learn how to make my own clothes. But this is just the start to my adventures. So join me in discovering the things that inspire us...

Swifting Me Off My Feet

So, I think Taylor Swift is pretty cool. I saw this picture and absolutely loved it! The pattern mix is great, along with the super cool subtle shoes. That was the moment I decided that I have to have these great men's inspired kicks. Still looking though. Check it out, you know you like her.

PS. While you are at it, take a look at the new pages: Thrift store finds, people that rock my socks, and rockin the streets. Let me know if you have any additions!

The coolest person I know...

So, I tried and I tried not to post this. Put I couldn't gather enough self control. As I look through countless pictures of people in magazines, fashion websites, and blogs, there is no one who I think is cooler than... Kristen Stewart. I know it is predictable, but someone who most likely rolls out of bed and walks out the door most mornings and still looks awesome deserves some props. She has her off days, but who doesn't. She still rocks my socks... and makes me want to buy a leather jacket.

Who Loves Emma Watson?

I do, I do, I doo oooooo! Check out this super sexy sweet etherial meets tough outfit. The perfect mix that is so hard to master. but when you do... It's pure magic!

Things to do for Free

Since we are talking about wonderful things that are cheap, I want to mention the most wonderful cheap thing at all. Not spending any money and still having fun. The only catch is it seems to be one of the most rare treasures there is. I don't know about anyone else, but I get the impulse to just spend all the time. But there are so many things I want to do, so many goals I have that don't involve money at all. I recently stumbled across a blog titled "The Simple Dollar" And it lists 100 things to do for free. Everyone's interests are different, so I created my own. On the top five are:

1. learn to sew
2. do art
3. go on a hike
4. Download a podcast and learn a new language (who knew this was free!!!)
5. Visit the library

Think about the things you love and challenge yourself to a "money free weekend!"

This is me pretending to know about fashion...

So, As I was doing "research" for my new blog I decided to invest in some fashion magazines. I decided upon Harper's Bazaar for my first go-around. (they did steal my heart after all with last years fashion spread featuring a very Adam's family style Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson). Anyways.. I stumbled upon this Christian Dior's fall line of equestrian inspired dresses. I have to give a shout out to Amber who totally called this as the new up-in-coming inspiration. (At the time, I didn't even know what that word meant.)Who knew riding horses could look so bad-ass. I'm not really sure how to transfer these couture looks to real life, but I'll get back to you if I figure it out. For now, enjoy...

The beginning....

This is the official kick-off to my blog! I am excited to see where this goes, even if I am the only one looking at it. One of the many things I would like to do here is share great things my friends find. Here my pal Justin has an authentic thrift store tee, reading: Polyphemus!!! I think this is great, considering how hard it can be for guys to fund good stuff. And not to mention, a polyphemus itself is pretty freakin cool.
